"I bought this dress last year in black. I had to size up to M since the S was too tight in the bust. However, I owed have preferred the S for all the other aspects (sleeves, etc. ). This time I bought the dress in oyster color, and was glad I noticed a remark that FV included about resizing the dress, and that it was roomier in the bust. The S fit perfect! The dress is oyster is definitely somewhat sheer, and you can see a difference from your bra and underwear, compared to your skin. I will add a slip underneath. It is truly beautiful and I love having a beautiful dress and not having to have a completely bare arm. I am 5’5” and 142 pounds. I usually wear a M in most clothing items of any kind."
Not meant for someone my size/shape?
"I was on the hunt for a dress that would cover the upper portion of my chest area. I recently had a mastectomy and reconstruction and wanted to cover that area. I used my measurements to determine the size and ordered 2X. I usually wear 18w, so it didn't seem too off. I received the dress and it was HUGE. Absolutely no structure to it, at all. The neck opening was huge. Even if I had ordered a different size down, this was not meant for my shape, clearly. Also, for reference, I am 5'7" and it fell around 1-2" below my knees. I think this dress would probably look fantastic on a very tall, very skinny woman. I am including a picture of myself without the dress, so that you can see my "usual shape" (I am the person in blue & white stripes). I am 5'7" 205lbs and usually size 18w"
